A Corporate Social Responsibility strategy needs to incorporate green and social-cause marketing campaigns to remain sustainable. Consumers have become more discernible, and are increasingly seeking out products from companies that adopt socially and environmentally responsible practices. According to a 2008 study done by Cone Inc.-Duke University, nearly 80% of the respondents said they were more likely to switch brands, provided price and quality are about equal, to the one associated with a good cause. Still, an increasing number of people are willing to spend more on products if they are linked to a social cause.
