Lloyds TSB is a leading banking and insurance group, with 70,000 employees, 16 million customers and operations in more than 20 countries.
We helped Lloyds integrate Corporate Social Responsibility strategy into their corporate structure.

Assignment: 

Lloyds TSB wanted to integrate Corporate Social Responsibility into policy, strategy and reporting.
 

CSE Solution: Through a "CSR Performance Scorecard" CSE supported Lloyds TSB to:

 

  • Align corporate responsibility strategy with the strategic focus of business through the integration with individual balanced scorecards
 
  • Develop a CR management system and a CR performance scorecard that could be integrated throughout the business, including business units and individuals within those business units
 
  • Work with individual business units to identify and implement improvement activities against agreed upon KPIs
 
  • Support delivery of local programs and stakeholder engagement strategies that maximize employee involvement and engagement
 
  • Undertake frequent self-assessments involving key enablers from across the business against CSR
 
  • Analyze performance and perception of performance against the EFQM CSR framework and identify strengths and key areas for improvement
 
  • Identify improvement priorities and improvement activitity that align with business balanced scorecard objectives for each business unit
 
  • Set key performance indicators based on these priorities aligned with specific target measures under balanced scorecards of individual business units and individuals
 
  • Share results and progress with employees throughout the business, to highlight achievements and gain commitment and engagement in improving these activities
 
CSR Europe conferred the "Leadership & Governance" award for the program during the marketplace conference in June 2006. CSR Europe is the leading European business network for corporate social responsibility with around 75 international companies and 27 partner organizations.

Lloyds TSB wanted a comprehensive assurance for the CSR annual report.

CSE Solution: 

The CSE delivered an in-depth self-assessment based on information provided by 28 managers from different divisions (enablers network) and validated the CR Report. The CR Report assurance statement delivered an independent verification, adding value to the organization and its stakeholders.
