Our commitment
Our commitment to support and respect human rights derives from the code of conduct CSE has introduced, and according to which it operates and collaborates with its stakeholders.
 |
We are committed to supporting and respecting the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights.
We are committed to ensuring that our organization, its employees, its suppliers, its customers and all our stakeholders are not complicit in human rights abuses.
We are committed to treating people with respect, courtesy, honesty and fairness and respecting different values, beliefs, cultures and religions.
|
We are committed to ensuring that employees and affiliates work in a safe and healthy environment.
We apply these commitments to our own operations, within our field of influence and through our work with our customers in all the countries we operate.
We comply and will continue to do so with all relevant U.S. laws and the laws of all the countries in which we operate, including those relating to human rights.
Description of our processes
To turn our commitments into practice, we follow processes and systems which derive from the context of the CSE’s Stakeholder Code of Conduct.
First, we ensure that our employees are aware of their own human rights and are not complicit in human rights abuses, while at the same time they are aware of their role to help protect the human rights of others. As an advisory organization, CSE additionally advises and assists its customers to manage their own responsibilities in this area.
The CSE is an international organization that operates in countries of different cultures and different laws. For that reason, we are committed to respecting and operating according to the laws of each country.
Our Actions to implement these Principles
The CSE is an organization, based in Europe, complies with all laws of the countries in which it does business.
When we engage suppliers and partners outside of the U.S., we ensure that their paperwork is in order, including those related to human rights. We conduct regular assessments of their policies related to suppliers, community, and the environment. Specifically, we request that all of our suppliers meet standards for Corporate Social Responsibility or interational guidelines (e.g. SA8000, UN Global Compact, EFQM Framework for CSR or GRI)
